Who´s Omar Carvajal
Just for you to know who’s going to write this blog, I´m going to talk a little
bit about myself, this is my first entry and it’s about my profile, personal
information, expectations, goals, opinions and the like.
My
name is Omar de Jesus Carvajal Gutierrez, I’m 19 years old; I’m turning to 20
on 9 of May. I’m studying business
administration on ULACIT, I love my carer a lot, because it’s going to be my
future, my parents have a business that probably will my mine, so I've to
study hard to keep this one in success.
Music is my
passions not only listen to it, play the piano it’s something that I like too
much, I’m just a beginner but I hope in future I can do it as well as
professionals do.
I live in Dulce Nombre of Coronado, I love where I live because
it’s too cold here and that’s something that I like, I live with my parents and
sister her name is Gabriela and she’s 21 years old.
Just
like adding something about me, I love animals so I can say that walk around
with my dog Scrappy it’s like things that always try to do and like hobby I
like to take photos as my sister do because she’s studying photography so she
teach me a lot of things. I’m a good person and sociable
with people that I trust, i love to travel and know some cultures,
languages and traditional things that people has in others countries, but to do
this I’ve to wait.
My purpose of learn English it´s, I think, the same of all people, and this is
because of my job and its very important to practice because you can talk to
people that are in other countries, and i love languages so English it’s a
language that I have to learn.

In this
century, technology is the most useful tool in a job, in school, and in your
life. Nowadays, everything is around technology, the most frequently websites
that young people use are the social networks. “A
social network is a website on the Internet that
brings people together in a central location to talk, share ideas and
interests, or make new friends” (Hope,
2014) , that’s why it’s the most frequent website for young
people. Even nowadays grown people are using these websites to promote
their business and there are some social networks that are for you to put your
curriculum and that helps you to find a job, so I think that social network are
good, cool for young people and very useful for business and grown people.
There are many social networks that you can join, but not
all are the same, there are social networks for your job, to chat, to upload
photos, for write your thoughts, etc. The most of social network that I
know needs to have a username and password, in order for you to be save as well
as the information that you put there, which it’s very important. Why
it’s very important?, all the world, and when i say all the world it’s because
almost everyone around the world has an account on a social network site, even
there are places in the world like Cuba that has their own social network that
its only useable in that country, so that´s why it’s very important to have a
password in your account for to be save. Now I’m going to talk about some of
the social networks that have been created for every kind of people and every
king of likes, for example, Facebook, Instagram, MySpace, Tumblr, Bebo,
Classmates, etc.
The most common social network in my opinion or that I know
more is and the first one I’m going to talk about its Facebook. In this social
network you can setup your own personal web pages, connect with friends, share
pictures, share movies, talk about what you're doing. It’s very useful in a job
because you can do a “fan-page” where you can promote your business. Besides,
it is not only for young people also for business man, because it’s a very
massive web site and you can negotiate with important persons around the world,
so your business can increase popularity. It’s very easy to use and very
interactive web site. Other
social network that it’s very popular it’s Instagram, this one is a
photo-sharing app where you can take pictures within the app or use photos that
already exist in your camera file. You can give your photo a title, which
is helpful and fun. Photos can be instantly shared, not only in
Instagram, also in facebook, twitter, Flickr, Posterous and Tumblr. In the way
of business it’s very helpful because if you have a clothing store you can
upload photos about what are you selling and what your clothes look like, so
people can watch your store without going or been there so it’s very easy for
the costumers to have an idea about your store and merchandise and probably get
popular. And last one im going to talk about its linkedin, very useful in
a way of business because this social network it’s only for connect with
current and past co-workers and potentially future employers. I see linkedin as
a virtual curriculum, like a web site where you can write about you and your
recent jobs, your experiences and more about your personal progress.
In conclusion, I associate social networks in a business way and i can say that
globalization it’s here and you need to be updated and be familiar with these
tools that are very useful and helpful in our future lives. Social networks
aren’t only for our satisfaction in a fun way, they are here too for our
business lives.
ACTIVITIES
To improve my English out of my classes, I
use social media, interactive classes on YouTube and some web-sites that
evaluate my english.
I use three social media ways to make my English
better and they are facebook, mobli and snapchat. Now days people are in a globalize
world, so they use the internet to know people of others parts where they speak
different languages, the most important English.
I´ve family in the USA and they keep in
touch with me, so I use facebook to talk with them and I write in English to
practice, and they are family so, if I write something wrong they will correct
me. I also have friends that in college
they were from other countries, you know students that come to Costa Rica to
know the culture and many things that Costa Rica has, so they gave me their
facebook´s names and I added them and i write in English.
I am a person that likes to travel a lot,
and when you have no money, pictures are the best way to know places from other
countries, that is why I use snapchat. People from other countries send me
pictures with something written or a video showing me where they are.
One of the best social media that I use to
practice my English is mobli. why is mobli the best one? Mobli has a section
where you can do a live stream video, so you start talking in English and all
your friends, or people that want to enjoy your live stream comment and ask you
questions like, where am I from?, what are my hobbies, etc. It’s a very fun social media that I try to use
frequently.
I’m
going to up load a video that it was funny for me. Hope you enjoy.

TAG QUESTIONS
Tag question it is a statement followed by
a mini-question, this one can be negative or positive. For example if you start
the statement in a positive way like are you in home now, this statement
ends with a negative tag question using the verb to be that we use add the
beginning which is aren’t you, so the whole statement is going to be are
you in home, aren’t you?.
PRONOUNS USING ANY, SOME AND EVERY

FUTURE CONTINUOUS AND FUTURE PERFECT
This was the hardest topic for me but I
finally understand
Future perfect its an action that
happened in the future and ends there
For example by the end of the day i have
spent all my money
We have to use: sub+ have + Verb PP
Future continuous its an action in progress by at time in a future
For example will be thinking in our trip.
We have to use: sub + be + verb +
ing.
When I started this course I didn´t know
that learn was so funny. The teacher has an incredible way to teach and thats
why the most of my classmates and me increase our knowledge. Been in a class
room doesn´t mean be bored when you are with her, I apriciate that a lot. Now I
can say that i know more english than before.
The most important part of our classes was that no matter if you speak
bad,read low or if you can´t answer the question, becouse you keep trying just
becouse you want a delicious candy, and every body won a candy in the class
becouse every body was learning and they learned a lot.
